Hiring: Cannabis Retails Sales Associate – Part Time

3 full days (9 hour shift with 1 hour break) OR 4 half days (6 hour shift)

We are, Oceanside C-Weed, Parksville’s first legally licenced Recreational Cannabis retail. Our goal is to provide our customers with an outstanding level of service and product knowledge.

We currently are selling Cannabis products, flower, pre-rolls, and Oils, Sprays, Capsules, Edibles and Beverages, Concentrates, Vape Products, Seeds, and a wide range of accessories.

If you are interested in this position, you will have the following skills and qualifications. Must also commit to taking any Provincial and/or Federal training courses available now or in future (reimbursable).

“Must haves” for this position are:

• We require that candidates have completed the Workers Security Verification application from the Liquor Cannabis Regulatory Board, and the Criminal Record Check (RCMP Background Check). You MUST have these two documents in advance of a possible interview. Count on 2-4 weeks to receive final document.
• Must be legal age, over 19+ years old
• At least 2 years retail experience, and customer service experience
• A solid knowledge of Cannabis, its use and effects, and different types of consumption
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be professional in appearance and attitude
• Experience with inventory reconciliation, stocking shelves, keeping track of items for re-ordering
• At least 2 years experience with Point of Sale systems (Tech POS)
• Willingness to help keep the shop clean and presentable

Store hours are 11-6 Sunday, and 10-7 Monday through Saturday.

We are located directly behind Shoppers Drug Mart/Dairy Queen on Middleton Avenue.

What we can do for you:

• Starting Salary : $16-$18/hr based on experience.
• Probationary period of 3 months. Having satisfactorily completed that period you will be eligible for Inclusion in a self directed benefit package.
• Possibility that this will become a full time position.
